Habitat for Humanity Home
The Entrepreneurs House is a community service project for the Twin Cities entrepreneurial community. A group of entrepreneurial companies, investment firms and other small businesses are coming together in July to build a house as part of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. The project allows for a valuable team-building experience for the participating companies employees.
This year's Entrepreneur's House will be a rehabilitation of a foreclosed home in North Minneapolis at 3011 Fremont. The foreclosure crisis has produced a glut of properties that need assistance. There is great opportunity to re-establish and preserve affordable homeownership in the neighborhoods that need it the most.
By participating in the Entrepreneurs House, smaller companies are able to contribute with smaller teams of volunteers. In the summer of 2009, 14 employees from Park Midway Bank assisted with a Habitat for Humanity home that was built in Oakdale. Prior homes the Bank staff have worked on were in Woodbury, St. Paul and Minneapolis. This year 36 employees from Park Midway Bank and its sister banks, Franklin Bank and University Bank participated.
